Well, I was and the music takes me right back there. It takes time and effort because once you start listening to the music, its difficult to let it go.

Make time for you to have fun and make a playlist, the only difficulty is choosing your songs.Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15271577942205028957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27277534.post-38079974401806267222017-10-06T03:10:11.763-04:002017-10-06T03:10:11.763-04:00eating disorder is more common than people think a...eating disorder is more common than people think and it is also very suffocating. I have been through this and the constant feeling of not being worth was killing me slowly. Truth is, I still have this nagging feeling, when I'm not eating low carb, that I need to get "back on track" with my eating. I also wear a pedometer and try to hit 10,000 steps a day but my exercise consists of walking the dog because he needs to get out. I am the queen of quasi-committed and all I'm doing is frustrating myself.Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03500924758437763216noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27277534.post-86401499634264095692017-08-03T18:58:44.220-04:002017-08-03T18:58:44.220-04:00Yes!!!! To be fair, for a few of the signs, I really do not think that I was aware. Not listening to your body is listed as one of the reasons that you might have an eating disorder. Then again, no one’s body is perfect. So if we go by that theory, then everyone has an eating disorder – because only the perfect do not have eating disorders. So that means we are all okay because eating disorders are actually the norm.Margaretta Cloutierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13879744122093358190noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27277534.post-43458984765959621262017-07-17T15:52:13.022-04:002017-07-17T15:52:13.022-04:00spot on! I gave up dieting and found that I don't really like sweets that much, I was using it as a crutch because I thought it would numb me from things I didn't want to deal with (my past) or make a moment sweeter. I want to work on strength and balance, hoping to maintain vitality as I age. Happy New Year!Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03500924758437763216noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27277534.post-72412563542533262402016-07-21T21:47:07.049-04:002016-07-21T21:47:07.049-04:00How sad that some of your eating disorder patients...How sad that some of your eating disorder patients identify exercise as a symptom of an eating disorder. But as a recovering binge eater I understand their rationale. Calories in - calories out. Fortunately,I never misused exercise in this way and today it is an important tool in my arsenal against relapse. I cannot imagine being unable to take a long walk or ride my bike! I only associate exercise with its health benefits and not for its potential for abuse.

I only weigh myself once a month, I eat healthy and reasonable amounts of exercise are vital to my recovery (I am too lazy for it to ever become an issue :-). Exercise works in tandem with the other choices I make and it makes me feel good about aging, perhaps because I am at midlife in years and I appreciate my health more than my appearance. Developing a healthy attitude towards exercise may be crucial in successful long term treatment of eating disorders. As we age, exercise becomes critical to healthy living.

Best,
Elizabeth

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12760065637944838974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27277534.post-1810378997122952122016-05-29T22:11:03.706-04:002016-05-29T22:11:03.706-04:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27277534.post-76922104722349365502016-05-22T12:25:51.661-04:002016-05-22T12:25:51.661-04:00Yes!
