That's awesome, Doc!! As an athlete, or a former one rather, I know how mental competition is. I'm glad these athletes had someone like you to help them work through their jitters, etc.
That really is awesome! Transitioning from swimming laps to open water (let alone the Hudson river) is the biggest thing that I worry about if I were to try a triathlon. Kudos to you!
I can't tell you how many races I've been at where they needed professionals to help athletes get over that fear of getting in the water. I'm so glad to see that one race decided to try it.
