"EAT"

Y'all know cggirl, right? A regular reader/commenter on this site, cggirl also happens to be Michal Finegold, a talented computer graphics artist, who's working on a new project (see below). Cggirl would appreciate your thoughts/comments about this work-in-progress, and I'm curious about your reactions, too, given the apropos subject matter.

I'm sort've a literal-narrative type of person, and I was a little confused about what was "happening". That's MY problem. My only real complaint is that in the shot where she bites the fruit, the way the scene starts perfectly still... And THEN starts moving was a little distracting (I would have liked the pause before the movement started to be shorter, or for the movement to already have started so it doesn't look like someone pressed "play" on a paused video).
But other than that I think it is absolutely beautiful! I love the way it looks, and it's got such a calm feeling. Meditative, almost. I absolutely adore the woman's blushing cheeks after the bites the fruit - wonderful and sexy and sweet. While I'm not sure what was "happening" I really enjoyed the ride and ultimately it doesn't matter. It was lush and... I kept thinking, while watching, "Beautiful" and I think it made my breathing deepen because it was so relaxing. There was, mixed in, a bit of a sense of longing which is slightly bittersweet in a really nice way. I also got the sense that there was a bit of a message, but it was subtle and probably open to interpretation... Thank you for sharing it!

Perhaps it was just me but I thought it was a bit off...there's odd shorts that are beautiful and eccentric, and then there's just purely odd for no particular reason or enhancement, which is where this fell. Seems to be lacking depth, promoting a message for the sake of promotion without really being meaningful. Hoped for a lot more...

I'm with Violet. I wasn't quite sure what was going on and what the message is, but I thought it was beautiful, and particularly enjoyed the blushing cheeks, too.

with love,

Count me in as another who wasn't quite sure what the message was but I found the imagery stunning. I also felt calm at the end.

oh wow thanks for posting this!

just so you all know - this was a certain version, a work in progress. i'm working on it and in a couple weeks will have a finished version, with music and everything.

violet - yes your comment about the movement was spot on. i hadnt gotten around to fixing that when i posted that version on youtube but you're totally right. there are a lot of messed up things in the animation which i'm working on fixing.

and ya i hear what u all are saying about not knowing what is going on. i seem to have a tendency to create vague things so that everyone can experience it in their own way.

in a couple of weeks i will post a newer version on youtube, which may somewhat clarify it but will probably still leave people wondering :) i will let you know, dr stacy, when the finished one is up, in case you want to have a look at that time.

i'm glad most of you found it interesting, and thanks for looking!
